Rogue Healer: Stealing Hearts

Xavi is a disciple of the Sacred Bird order and carries what his elders call the Primordial Sacred Body. While reciting an old incantation about heaven, earth and primordial chaos, he awakens a pair of eyes that let him see into the celestial realm. The patriarch of the order hands him half of a jade amulet and tells him the other half, the demon half, is held by the woman he is betrothed to, Blanca. Joined cultivation of the two halves is the stated route past his current limits. Xavi says goodbye to his five senior sisters and comes down from the mountain into the city. Outside a hotel he runs into Blanca and her sister-in-law Vanesa. A flowerpot falls from above. Xavi pulls Blanca clear of it and in the scramble his mouth meets hers. The people who saw it take him for a man who gropes women. His explanation is not accepted, so he stops explaining and plays the part he has been assigned.
