Hide or Die

After a brutal massacre wipes out the Lin family, elder sister Lin Ruoqing and her younger brother Lin Xiao’an survive in hiding. They are taken in by family friend Lu Chengyuan to his eerie, sprawling manor. Ruoqing soon uncovers horrifying secrets: Lu sustains immortality through an ancient covenant that traps human souls inside paintings. Xiao’an has already been killed, only his ghost lingering on. Lu launches the deadly Final Hide‑and‑Seek game, where only one out of sixteen contestants may walk away alive. Forced to join the brutal contest, Ruoqing navigates betrayal and despair to fight Lu and free the imprisoned spirits. She destroys the covenant and sinks it in a bottomless lake. Yet faint ripples rise from the water in the final scene, hinting the evil is not truly gone.
