I Think My Wife Wants To Kill Me

Dominic wants Emily, his secretary, to take a job as a maid in his own penthouse. He asks her at her front door on a rainy night, with a bullet wound, and tells her that his wife Vivian tried to kill him. He believes Vivian is cheating on him and is after the family fortune, and he wants someone inside the apartment watching her. Emily is young and has kept her life quiet up to now. She agrees, uneasily. In the penthouse she begins to piece things together. The wound was self-inflicted. Dominic shot himself to pin an attempt on his life on Vivian and take the whole of the family fortune. Vivian is protecting her own interests and means to expose what Dominic has done. Each of the two tries to outmaneuver the other while hiding their own dealings, and Emily, in the middle of it as the maid, has to decide whether to bring Dominic's plan into the open.
