When Love Could Not Heal

Quinn takes the money her husband raised for her cancer operation and buys a car with it for James, the man she was with before him. Hugh is a doctor. Her liver cancer is late stage, and to pay for the treatment he turned down an invitation from the National Medical Research Council and sold what was left of his mother's things. Quinn keeps going back to James and what the two of them had. Their son Luke sees it and she pushes past that as well. Hugh and Luke agree to give her three chances to stop, and all three pass without her stopping. Hugh then accepts a place on the National Physician Program and takes Luke with him when he goes.
