Dumb Monk Conquer

Bernard Ford saves a girl and finds out she is his granddaughter. He goes with her to Skyward Sect, which his daughter Valerie runs, and Valerie does not recognize him. He has been away since she was ten. Her mother died young, the family on that side had him down as the useless son-in-law, and he went off to learn martial arts and has only now come back. His master let him go with a warning against misusing what he had learned. Valerie is under siege. Her uncle, her mother's brother, wants the sect for himself, the disciples are weak, and the sect's name sits at the bottom of the rankings. Bernard sets about defending it and moving it up the list.
