A Scorned Queen’s Retribution

Leticia Shelton came back from a period of rest outside the northern city and found Lieutenant Vivian in her office in the military secrecy section, appointed as her husband Adrian's personal aide. Leticia threw her out. Adrian and Leticia argued. Vivian told Adrian that Leticia had tried to humiliate her, and Adrian reinstated her and suspended Leticia's authority. He then broke the belongings Leticia's late father had left her. Vivian wanted to ride Leticia's horse, an animal Leticia had kept since childhood, and the horse would not take her, so Adrian gave the order and the horse was killed. Leticia called a meeting of the officers under her to remove Adrian from his post and take back the positions and property that had been hers.
