A Child's Mind Stole a Daddy's Heart!

Sebastian's household runs on one rule, and his father repeats it to him most days: the wife comes first. Sebastian is a rich single man with a grown son, Maxwell, who has always counted on being the only heir. Lucia was drugged as a small child by the girl her birth family had adopted, and left in a slum. The drug stopped her mind at six years old. At nineteen she is working in a hotel when Maxwell drugs her and tries to force himself on her. Through a mix-up she ends up spending the night with his father Sebastian instead, and becomes pregnant with Sebastian's child. When Sebastian finds out, he brings her home as his wife. His father takes to the new daughter-in-law at once. Maxwell, who now stands to lose his place as sole heir, tries to run Sebastian and Lucia down with a car so that the family money will pass to him. At a birthday party for one of Sebastian's friends, the host is unaccountably warm to Lucia and comes to believe she is the younger sister his family lost years ago. The girl his family adopted is the one who drugged Lucia as a child. She sets about getting rid of Lucia before Lucia can remember anything, so as to keep her position as the family's eldest daughter. Lucia does in time get her reason back, and with it her memory of what was done to her.
