Always A Father

Martial power in the nine lands can be handed over. A fighter who empties out everything he has built up can keep a dying person alive, and afterwards there is nothing left in him. Eighteen years ago Jason Lee, the war god of the nine lands, spent all of his on his infant son Finn, who was not going to live. He set aside his name and his standing and took work as a security guard, with a leg that no longer worked properly. Eighteen years later he learns that Finn is not his son by blood. Three of his old disciples reach him while he is still taking that in, and they are carrying a pill that restores what he spent. Going back means the Island of Inspiration and Cloud City, where the Spear of Destiny and a warrior's medal are still being fought over and old loyalties do not hold. The borders are being invaded at the same time, and there are people arranging one trap after another for him.
