Synopsis

At thirty, Arthur Vance was running the largest business in Greenvine City. He resigned as chief executive, adopted a six-year-old orphan named Leo, and moved with him to a farm in the country. Twenty years passed. Arthur is past fifty, the company he founded is the biggest in the city, and Leo is getting married. Doctors find cancer in Arthur at its last stage. He has the transfer papers for the group drawn up in Leo's name and brings them to the wedding as his gift. At the ceremony Leo hands him a paper that severs the relationship between father and son.
