100 Years Late for Love

Galen Ward has come for the bride promised to him, and she is about to marry another man. Galen is an immortal. A hundred years ago he foresaw the Spirit Vein running dry and knew that only the bond fate had set for him could save it. He rescued the Thornhill ancestor and made a pact with her that a woman of her line would marry him when a hundred years had passed. The hundred years are up, and he has arrived at the Thornhill house with his disciple to hold them to it. The Thornhill woman he was promised already has a wedding to someone else arranged, and it is close to happening. The Spirit Vein keeps weakening. Galen stays and sets about winning her over, while the people around her run schemes of their own.
