The Man They Misjudged

A man in designer labels holds the floor at a jewelry exhibition, going through what he has bought and what he has done with himself, and he picks out someone he knew years ago to measure it against. That person is Victor, who has come to buy a present for his sister's wedding. Victor had put his girlfriend's birthday together himself. The gift set off an argument, the argument ended the relationship, and he was still in that when word came that his sister was getting married. So he went to the exhibition. The two men have history. In front of the other buyers Victor is talked down to until the room is watching, and then he says who he is. He runs a film company, and the money behind him is money nobody from his hometown had any idea about. The exhibition's own president comes over to greet him.
