King of the Deadly Game

Synopsis

Jason's family fixes a crime on him so his adopted brother Ryan walks free, and Jason takes a ten-year sentence for it. In prison he meets Tiger, an old gambler, and asks to be taught. Tiger teaches him the tricks of the table over the years inside. Jason comes out and starts working through the family that put him there, exposing what they have been to the people who believed them. A friend from the orphanage he grew up in is in trouble with a casino, and getting him out means playing at the tables. That brings Jason up against the Gambling King.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
