Helpless Mom? Martial Queen!

Synopsis

Aria Vale's husband was killed by people who had come for her. She had been the strongest martial master alive and had made a great many enemies in that time, and they got to him. She put the name away afterwards and took her daughter to the Ford Sect, her husband's school, where the two of them lived as ordinary women and she swallowed what came with that. The girl was forbidden to show anyone what she could do. It held until the Ford Sect was facing something that would have been the end of it and nobody there could act. The girl looked at what was in front of her and said it was less than what her mother put her through in training. Nobody in the sect knew who her mother was.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
