Sorry, Who's the Cheater Again?

In High City the Sui family controls enough capital that one of its heirs can fund an entire business career without the beneficiary ever learning where the money came from. Kaven, a member of that family, fell for Star at first sight and decided not to tell her who he was. For five years he lived as an ordinary man and pushed his family's resources behind her quietly, until she was the richest woman in the city. He was preparing to tell her the truth when he found she had been sleeping with her employee, Nolan. She told the story the other way round and named Kaven as the other man, and on the day of the wedding Nolan was standing in his place. Kaven brought four of the city's magnates with him, laid out the affair in front of the guests, called the marriage off and went back to run the family holdings. Star learned who he had been the whole time. She came back to him twice. He was with someone else.
