Her Shadow? Not Anymore.

Fay tells Marcus to take the blame for a blunder made by her protégé, and orders him transferred to Africa. He has just come back from putting out a major crisis for the company. He refuses, and she answers with a stream of harsh words. Marcus decides to leave Orion Group. Seven years earlier he had given up a career abroad to stay with Fay, who is his wife. He worked behind the scenes, built her company into Orion Group, and put her in the chairman's seat. Once he is gone, the partners who dealt with him for years pull out one after another. Financing stalls. The South City project, which the protégé was running, falls apart, and the group comes close to bankruptcy. Only then does Fay understand what Marcus had been carrying for the company. By that time he has started over in a new life away from it.
