God's Gift: Father's Love

Liam Torres wanted an ordinary life with his parents and got a year in prison instead. Evelyn Turner accused him of robbery after he stepped in to help her, and the charge held. By the time he was released his parents had died and no one would take him on. He went to the river to kill himself and found a newborn girl abandoned there, and he took her home and raised her by himself. Eighteen years later Evelyn runs a property development company and comes to clear the block where Liam and his daughter live. She humiliates both of them in front of the neighbours. The girl she is insulting is the daughter she lost, and Liam learns that the child he spent eighteen years raising belongs to the woman who put him away. He is caught between what he feels for the girl and what he owes Evelyn.
