Rules Are Rules: Mess with Me, Pay the Price

Xialong Machinery Factory has just got a new director, Zhang Tao. Lin Wei, an engineer there, spends a whole night repairing a machine and clocks in two minutes late the next morning, and Zhang Tao docks his year-end bonus of 100,000 for it. Zhang Tao then promotes his own nephew, Zhang Hao, and hires an expert from outside on a high salary, with the aim of replacing Lin Wei. Lin Wei from then on keeps strictly to what the factory rules require of him and stops doing extra work. Equipment ends up scrapped, and the client holds the factory responsible. Zhang Tao and the people around him try to shift the blame onto Lin Wei. The representative the client sends greets Lin Wei with respect.
