Taming the Gaming God

Lucy Summers pretends to be a complete beginner at gaming so that Ray Harrington will let her near him. Ray is the top player in the professional scene, and Lucy has a reason to need him: she has offended Vivian Lang, Vivian has the standing to end her career, and the only way out Lucy can see is to land a game endorsement. She moves in next door to the base of Ray's team, ALG, sits down beside him, and grinds through match after match while keeping the act up. Vivian tries more than once to sabotage her, and each time Lucy and Ray turn it back on her. With Ray coaching her, Lucy's skill climbs quickly, and the endorsement comes within reach around the time ALG starts its run at the world championship.
