Veterans Who Refuse to Kneel

Joseph runs a produce company with Li Dongbei, Lao Pao and a group of injured veterans he served with, and the business has got itself onto solid ground. Lin Jianxiang, from the same unit, sells vegetables at a market stall with his wife Liu Fengxia and their daughter. When the family is left without him, the market's management director Zhao Diandong starts leaning on Liu Fengxia and harassing her, and the daughter goes to Joseph for help. Joseph gets there in time. Zhao Diandong's brother Zhao Diancheng is president of the Zhao Group and can do as he likes in Annan, with old Mr. Feng behind him. To pay Joseph back, Zhao Diancheng cuts off the company's sales channels and sets up a banquet at the Annan Hotel meant to humiliate Joseph into apologizing, with Feng invited to preside. Joseph takes the insults through the whole meal. When Liu Fengxia breaks in to apologize on his behalf and Zhao Diandong pushes further with her, Joseph puts himself between them, and Feng, watching from the side, is impressed enough to end the evening there. With the sales channels still cut, Liu Fengxia brings the market vendors in and they move the produce through the early-morning markets. Zhao Diandong turns up again at the market and starts on the veterans, an older man named Liu hits him, and Zhao Diancheng arrives with men to block Joseph and the others at the market gate. Feng has been following the company since the banquet, and he is parked across the road watching.
