In 1990, in Amsterdam’s Chinatown, Wen Manli falls into desperate straits when a family member becomes gravely ill. Deceived by her uncle, she signs a contract selling herself and is forced by Brother Hu, a hall master of the Donglong Gang, to shoot adult films. At this moment, the gang’s powerful boss, Huo Zichen, appears. Discovering that Wen Manli closely resembles Chu Zhen, the widow of his late adoptive father William, Huo Zichen decides to have her impersonate Chu Zhen to help him seize the position of gang leader. To save her mother, Wen Manli agrees to the deal. Using her intelligence and courage, she helps Huo Zichen win again and again. As he trains her, Huo Zichen gradually develops feelings for her. Huo Zichen fakes his death to investigate the truth behind William’s demise, and working in concert with Wen Manli, they finally expose the truth that A Xiu murdered his own father. After inheriting the position of gang leader, Huo Zichen joins forces with Wen Manli to confront the corrupt bureau chief Chen Jiakang, ultimately stabilizing the situation. Unexpectedly, the real Chu Zhen suddenly returns, seeking to marry Huo Zichen to protect herself. Heartbroken, Wen Manli decides to leave. At the final moment, Huo Zichen stops her and confesses his true feelings, and the two ultimately end up together.
