Sienna Quill's father is pulled into a financial crime he had no real part in and is sent to prison. To keep Harry Ford clear of the fallout, she manufactures evidence that she has been unfaithful and ends things with him. She is carrying his child at the time and does not tell him. She raises the boy on her own for the next six years. He falls seriously ill, and the treatment costs more than she has. Harry has gone back to his family by then and stands to inherit it, and when the two of them meet again he still believes she cheated.
