Love Wins

Crisis work in public relations moves a small set of specialists around the same large clients, so two people who have fallen out can end up on one account from opposite ends. Nicole Parker is sent to Hong Kong for a client whose situation has gone bad. Jayden Blake is handling the other side of it. He has been in the business longer than she has and taught her the work when she was starting out, and for part of that time they were together. Five years have passed since it ended. He sets things up several steps ahead before he moves. Nicole reads the moves and answers them. The account, the public part of the crisis and whatever is left between the two of them all run at once, and the lines between the three stop holding. The old feeling comes back while the work is still going on, and both of them are people who reason a thing out before they act on it.
