The Family We Build

Chloe Parker and Sean Davis married in 1981 after knowing each other a short time. She brought her son Lucas, he brought his daughter Sophia, and the four of them started keeping house together. Chloe said what she thought. The neighbors joked that Sean had married a sharp-tongued woman, and Sean found that she made his days livelier than they had been. Sophia had closed herself off from people, and over time Chloe got through to her. Lucas came to trust Sean because Sean was straight with him and did what he said he would do. The four of them backed each other up and things got easier for them as the years went on.
