Synopsis

Shen Mingyue is close to the men who hold power in the city, and the circle around them treats her as the woman everyone wants. What they take for openness is something she puts on. She has already decided that none of them will own her. Her father was squeezed by powerful families until it cost him his life. She was a girl then, and she came out of it holding one thing to be true, that power settles everything. She left the small town she grew up in and worked her way toward the top of that circle a step at a time, with each man she got near serving as one of the steps.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
