The Heart He Gave, The Love She Broke

Rachel Quinn is being interviewed about her success and the host asks her to phone the person she is most grateful to. She thinks of Harvey Smith, her ex-husband, who left her over money. He picks up and the first thing he says is that he needs to borrow three hundred thousand yuan. She says something cutting and hangs up. Harvey needs the money for an artificial heart transplant. He had donated his own heart to his wife while they were married. At a banquet later, Rachel's current boyfriend is wearing the tailored suit she bought him and a three-million-yuan watch. Harvey is working the room as a waiter, taking shifts to raise the surgery money. The boyfriend humiliates him and makes him drink spirits, and the hotel manager comes over to intervene and says out loud why Harvey cannot drink.
