Widow or Winner? She Wins Big

Katherine Taylor wakes up inside a book as a minor character. Her husband is in a coma. The rest of his family is dead, and what remains of the household is her, a younger brother-in-law who spends money and picks fights, and a younger sister-in-law who falls for the wrong men. In the book all of them ruin each other and die, and a fortune worth billions passes to somebody else. Katherine works out that three things she had always wanted, being beautiful, being rich, and being rid of a husband, have arrived at once. She decides the inheritance is hers and that anyone who goes after her money will pay for it. Then her husband opens his eyes.
