Her Vacation, His Liberation

Lu Chen and Liu Ruyan married five years ago. Over those five years Lu Chen gave up his research career and kept the house. During a holiday Liu Ruyan told him she had to work overtime. She went instead to an island with Chu Sheng, a former boyfriend. Photographs from the trip reached Lu Chen. He decided on a divorce and drew up an agreement. When Liu Ruyan flew back he did not go to the airport, and he stopped doing the housework. With help from Lin Wanwan, a junior from his old department, he went back to work and joined his former advisor's research group. The group was taking part in an Antarctic survey project.
