Shadow in the Cradle of Fate

In this world a death can be followed by waking in another body, years later, with the first life still remembered. Jiang Sui went off a rooftop, pushed by Song Yan. She came back as Xu Jin Xia, six years old, in a wealthy house in the seaside city, and the woman she had to call mother was Song Yan. Ten years had passed while she was gone. Her own case had been closed as a disappearance and her birth mother was not to be found. Xu Jin Xia said nothing to anyone and lived as the family's youngest daughter while she pulled apart the respectable front they kept up, looked for her mother, and worked out what she was owed and by whom. The one person on her side was a son a rival house had fathered outside its marriage, someone she had a tie to from before.
