She Was More Than the Woman in Uniform

Eric was an ordinary employee when Sophia married him. She spent three years pushing him up through the airline until he was General Manager, and she had arranged to hand him control of her whole group in three days' time. He did not wait. He had been using the Platinum card Sophia had given him to spend on Donna, his mistress, who boarded a flight with her brother in the manner of a woman who considers the airline half hers already. Sophia happened to be on that flight, working it in a flight attendant's uniform for an unannounced inspection. She recognized the card in Donna's hand and understood what her husband had been doing with it. Donna played to the cabin and insulted the attendant serving her at some length. Eric backed Donna and told Sophia to apologize. The apology was still being demanded when Sophia's name came out in front of everyone.
