Flight Changed, Marriage Ended

Lauren Sutton's marriage to Dylan Hart runs on her money. She paid off the Hart family's debt, and since the wedding she has paid for the apartment and the living costs, done the housework, and looked after Dylan's mother and his sister. She plans a family trip and pays out of her own pocket to put everyone in first class. Just before departure Dylan tells her to cancel her plane ticket and take the train instead, a 36-hour ride in an ordinary seat, because his childhood friend Abigail Porter is coming along and he wants Abigail in Lauren's seat. His mother and sister take his side and say some ugly things to Lauren while they are at it. The family has never hidden that it prefers Abigail, and they have let it be known they would like her as Dylan's wife. Lauren agrees to all of it and then acts on her own. She throws out the family's luggage, eight bags, cancels the hotels, and leaves on the trip by herself. She refuses them money and help, blocks all their numbers, and ignores Dylan's threats and his begging. When Dylan threatens divorce, she hands him a divorce agreement and tells him that the apartment and the household money have been hers the whole time. The Harts try to keep her, and when that fails Dylan's mother pushes him to agree to the divorce on the condition that Lauren walks out with nothing. Lauren has already made her arrangements, and all of the Harts end up put out of the apartment. The divorce goes through and Dylan marries Abigail. Lauren sells the apartment and gets back the money she paid on the debt.
