The Throne Became Her Grave

Zhao Zhinian owes the throne of Great Qi to Gu Chang'an, the kingdom's war god, and once she is empress she has him condemned to be cut apart in front of the public. His master Li Tai'a, a recluse called the Sword Venerable of the human world, comes down alone, breaks through the troops and the death formation that guards the kingdom, and takes him off the execution ground. Gu Chang'an is ambushed afterward and put under an immortal curse. His will breaks and his faith goes with it. The one who has been directing the empress all along is the Venerable of the Xuantian Sect. Li Tai'a rebuilds Gu Chang'an's immortal bones and takes him into the Immortal Realm after the two of them.
