Reborn in the 70s: For Country, Not Love

The marriage was arranged before she had finished school, and her place at university went with it. Emily spent fifty years keeping house for her husband. Among his belongings was a photograph of the woman he had loved all along, with "The love of my life" written on it. Then she is back in the 1970s, holding the acceptance letter, with the wedding still ahead of her. She tears up the marriage agreement and cuts off every romantic tie she has. The man she loved across two lifetimes is finished as far as she is concerned. On New Year's Eve she sets out for Jing City to study science and work for the country.
