The Hidden King: Daddy Is a Legend

A woman comes to his door with a girl of four who calls him Daddy. She runs a corporation and she has already decided how this goes, and she takes him to the registry office and marries him before he has caught up with any of it. Four years earlier she had flagged his cab down on a wet night with men behind her and a drug in her that she had not taken by choice, and the two of them spent that night in the car. The man she has married drives that cab and sells meat from a block in the market. He is a former soldier, the son of the richest man in the country, and the head of the Temple of the Heavenly God, which nobody crosses. He has kept all of that hidden since his mother was killed, while he works out who arranged it.
