Ditching the Scum, Ruling the School

Lily is passed off as the heiress of the Hart family, though she is not one by birth. For years she pursues a man who takes what he can from her and gives nothing back, while Anna and her group bully her at Rosewood Academy. A betrayal follows that nearly kills her, and while she is coming out of it she sees what is waiting for her: her real parentage made public, her removal from the house, and her death on the street with nothing. Three months remain before the truth comes out. Lily opens accounts abroad and buys assets, quietly, so she has somewhere to go. She stops asking the Harts for a place among them and starts hitting back at the people who have been bullying her.
