Ethan Grant is the only heir of a wealthy family. He leaves them, and the money, against their wishes, to be with his girlfriend Chloe Pierce, who comes from an ordinary background. An accident leaves Chloe paralysed in both legs. Ethan works days and delivers food at night to pay for her treatment. Then he walks in on Chloe with Evan Hayes, a rich heir, and she is standing. The paralysis was never real. Chloe faked it to help Evan, a childhood friend of hers, take revenge on Ethan. After the betrayal and Evan's mockery, Ethan decides to go back to his family and take up his position as heir again, and use it against the two of them.
