Late Love With A Tycoon

Richard Sterling tells Joyce Abbott that he works as a security guard. He has billions. The girl in his house, Stella, the one he says cannot go near water, is the daughter Joyce lost in the rubble thirty years ago. Joyce is fifty and cleans buildings for a living. Her son and his wife took what she brought in for most of her adult life and then put her out of the house with nothing. She married Richard within days of meeting him because she had run out of anything else to do. He is gentle with her and attentive, and she has no cause to look any further into him. Her daughter-in-law comes round to have another go at her, and the in-laws point at her and call her a filthy cleaner. Richard gets up from behind her while they are doing it. Joyce has still not been told what he is worth, or that Stella is hers.
