The Abandoned Heiress

In the Shaw family, a boy is the heir and a girl is spare parts. Eleanor Shaw, twin sister of Nathan Shaw, was made to give up a kidney for him as a child. She lost too much blood in the surgery, and the family grandmother left her to die. A man named Woon took her in as his foster daughter and renamed her Hannah. Ten years later the Shaw Group still owed the villagers their unpaid land contract fees, and Hannah took an internship at the company to collect them. Nathan, by then the heir, obstructed her at every turn, and his mother, who dotes on her son, treated her coldly. In the course of the fighting the surgical scar on her lower back is seen, and so is a jade pendant she wears with a character carved on it. The family's old dog takes to her. When Nathan reads both characters on the pendant and matches them to the keepsake left by his sister, he understands who the girl they have been tormenting is.
