Little Lord of Reckoning

The ten-year-old heir of Umbra Resurgens, Yack Namgung, is carrying the soul of the last Sage of Great Sharn, and no one in the sect knows it. The Sage was attacked by a man he could not identify at the moment of his ascension and fell. A remnant of his soul was reborn in the boy. He keeps this to himself even when the sect comes under attack. A rival sect arrives to challenge Umbra Resurgens, and the contest is set at three rounds. The boy helps without showing his hand. He makes a throw blindfolded, turns the result of the agility round, and in the last bout beats the rival sect's master. The sect makes him its head. He takes the sect to the martial tournament at the Sanctuary of Great Sharn, since whoever struck the Sage down is likely to be there. The search leads him to the Sanctuary's senior disciple, who has been in league with the demon lord.
