From Secret Lover to Iron-fisted CEO

Grayson Adler's company has a sales manager who is also his girlfriend. Amara Vaughn works there without telling anyone which family she comes from, and for a while she is the reason the accounts keep coming in. Laney Bennett grew up alongside Grayson and does not care for the arrangement. She skims Amara's entertainment budget, goes to her clients directly and puts work in her way wherever she can. Grayson takes Laney's side often enough that the relationship ends and Amara leaves the company. She goes back to her family and takes over her grandfather's group. Some time later Grayson and Laney come in to negotiate a partnership and find Amara across the table as president. His own company is close to failing by then, and the deal in front of him is with her group.
