My Ex-Wife Is a Royal VIP

Stella Alexander held the post of Chief Astronomer at the imperial court. When the floods came south of the river, Dylan Murphy saved her life, and the two fell in love. She gave up the post to marry him. She used the credit she had earned at court to get Dylan a noble title. Keeping him safe cost her the ability to have children. The running of his house fell to her as well. Seven years into the marriage Dylan took a second wife and gave as his reason that Stella could not bear him a child. Stella accepted the arrangement without a word of complaint and then went to the Empress and asked for a divorce. The Empress granted it, and with it the right to strip Dylan of every honour Stella had obtained for him, the title included. Dylan's family go out of their way to humiliate her afterwards.
