Shoeshine Princess: Daddy's a General!

There is a church where, for seven years, the Commander has gone to remember the wife he believes died along with their child. Outside the same church a small girl shines shoes for money. The girl is his daughter. Her mother is alive too. Her mind has not been right since then, and the child looks after her and pays for her treatment out of the shoeshine work. The suffering of the two of them goes back to one woman. Father and daughter cross paths more than once and neither knows who the other is. The Commander's father, the old General, throws away a pocket watch that belongs to the Commander, and it ends up with the girl. A misunderstanding over that watch is what finally brings the Commander together with the girl and her mother.
