Nova Lowell was nineteen when she came on Justin Penn hurt in the mountains and got him help. They spent that night together. She left afterwards. Justin found her bracelet and started looking for her. Her parents and her younger sister Ellie set her up before he got anywhere, and she was sent to prison for something she had not done. She found out she was pregnant while she was inside and gave birth to a son, Aiden. Ellie took credit for what Nova had done and lived on what came with it. Six years later Aiden ran into Justin's mother at a hospital. The boy looked like her son and had a rare condition, and she arranged a paternity test without telling either family.
