Divorced Over a Fake Ticket

Pamela Frost is made a partner and given shares worth billions. At the company party a colleague hands her a joke lottery ticket, and she takes it home. Her husband Drew Tyson and his mother find it and read it as the top prize. Neither of them knows about the partnership. The mother tells Drew to divorce her while the money is his, and Drew stops bothering to hide that he has been sleeping with Pamela's best friend, who then announces she is pregnant. Pamela files for divorce, takes back the property she brought into the marriage, and keeps quiet about the shares. Drew borrows from a moneylender at high interest and spends it on the friend. Three days later he goes to collect the prize with his creditors along, and the ticket turns out to be worth nothing. The friend drops him the same day. He and his mother go to Pamela's company to make a scene and squeeze her, and while they are there the company announces her promotion to vice president.
