Five years ago she had money behind her and he had none, and her family made her sign the divorce papers to keep themselves safe. Word about his plane came the same day. He comes back five years later. The crash was staged, he heads a conglomerate now, and she is the one with nothing left. He puts her to work in his house as a servant, the first of the things he does to her for the divorce. He does not know that the boy she has been raising by herself since the crash is his son. The further he takes it, the more of those five years he turns up. He finds out that she sold everything she owned looking for him and borrowed money to pay for a grave, and that she took the humiliation without saying anything so the boy would be looked after. The boy is put in danger at one point, and after that he stops the revenge and starts trying to win her back.
