Otherworld Invasion: I Unlock God-Tier Thunder Power!

Powers awaken across a whole cohort on one appointed night, and the invasion from the other world lands 397 days after that. Jay King went through the sequence once before and was cannon fodder that time. He opens his eyes on the eve of the awakening with the 397 days in front of him again, this time holding a thunder power called the Violet Empyrean. At the ability exam another candidate makes a remark at his expense, which he lets pass, and then he tests as a self-awakened S-rank in front of the hall. Five schools run a joint examination after that. He gets into a core area on the first floor of the ability tower that candidates have no business in, clears out what is standing in it with thunder, and puts down the Gold Spirit clan, whose material he works into a set of armor.
