Great-Grandma is the Supreme Cultivator

Leonard Poe delivers food for a living. He was a university student, and he and Ivory Sowle had feelings for each other. Frank Lawson wanted Ivory for himself. He got Leonard pushed out of the university, and after that Leonard could not get hired anywhere, so the delivery job is what was left. His great-grandmother, Veronica Poe, turns up. She brings Leonard back into Ivory's life. Frank catches the two of them together, humiliates Leonard and beats him badly enough that he nearly dies. Veronica raised three adopted children, and all three have risen to the top in Great Arkland. Their heirs are the ones using that position against her own great-grandson. She decides to reorder the leading families of Great Arkland, pull down the order that has gone corrupt, and put Leonard at the top, on the grounds that he has a good heart.
