The Husband Delivered by Fate

Glenn marries Lyra, and she wants no part of it at the start. Her father is sick, and Glenn treats him. The father then decides that his daughter should go to the man who saved him. Lyra despises Glenn. She slips him a drug, it goes wrong, and the two of them end up in bed together for real. Her body is of a pure yin type, which is what Glenn needs to fuse the energy he now carries. Before any of this Glenn was a delivery rider. For four years he paid his girlfriend's way through university, and after she graduated she looked down on him for being poor and took up with a rich man's son. Around the same time Glenn came into the Ghost Valley Legacy, which gave him medical knowledge and fighting ability that nobody around him could match. He caught the two of them together, dealt with both, and swore he would be the one who ran Oakhaven. The Eclipse has its eye on the Legacy and keeps coming at him. Glenn beats back each attempt and builds up a considerable fortune along the way. He has no interest in being tied to anyone. Lyra, though, has started to fall for him. He pushes her away because he has stopped trusting women, and she sets about showing him that she is unlike the woman who left him. They go through more than one situation where either of them could have died.
