The Elite Heir's Ultimate Comeback

Hector and Alice have been together for years, and Hector has been carrying a secret the whole time about who he actually is and what he is worth. He is on the point of telling her when an accident puts him in a coma. Alice's family is not well off. They pay what they can toward his care anyway, month after month, without knowing that the man in the bed could cover it a thousand times over. He begins to surface, though he cannot speak or move much, and for a stretch of time the only thing he can do is press the nurse call button, which is enough to answer yes or no and nothing more. During that period a man calling himself a doctor attaches himself to the family, and uses the medical authority to work them over about money and decisions, with Hector conscious in the bed hearing all of it and unable to say a word. He listens to the whole thing and keeps count. The first sentence he manages to speak out loud is addressed to the false doctor: one phone call from him and the man answers for everything.
