Skyward Ambitions

Adrian York does not tell people what he does. He chairs the Aetheris Consortium, a financial group with reach across several countries, and he has been out of the country for seven years. He has come back on account of Nina Sterling and the job at the Langford Group, and he means it as a surprise for her. Nina has two doctorates and a postdoctoral post behind her. Nina ends the relationship. She has her sights on the chairman of the Aetheris Consortium, a man who has never shown himself to her, and she does not connect him with Adrian, who as far as she can see has neither money nor position. Adrian meets Claire Langford around the same time and the two of them marry within days. At the dinner held for the signing of the contract, Claire tells the table that Adrian is her husband, which is the first any of them have heard of a marriage.
