Queen of the Battlefield: Her Return to Glory

Sophie Devin holds a city on her own. Her father and brother had gone to the front and not come back, so the defense fell to her. Her mother wants her out of it, and Sophie promises to hide what she has done, put down her weapon, and marry Blake Jaffe, the husband her mother picked for her. Blake leaves for a campaign on their wedding night. For the year he is gone Sophie waits on his parents and spends her own dowry keeping the general's residence running. When he comes back the first thing he does is press her to accept a second wife, a marriage the Emperor granted him for his service, with the other woman brought into the house to face her. Sophie files for divorce, picks up her spear again, and sets about restoring the family her father left.
